Careers

Come and do work that has to be right.

We are for the meticulous. The people who read the footnote, ask the second question, and would rather be early than clever. Those are the minds MHBC Finance hires and keeps.

A set of accounts is a promise about what happened. Our job is to keep it.

MHBC Finance exists so that a UAE business never has to guess where it stands. Accounting, corporate tax, VAT, audit coordination, transfer pricing, payroll and CFO advisory — seven disciplines, one team, one point of contact.

We are building the firm we would have wanted to hire: small enough that your name is on the work, structured enough that the work survives an inspection. The deadlines are set by the Federal Tax Authority. Everything else is ours to get right.

“The work is exact, and the people doing it are not interchangeable. Every file has a name against it, and that name stays on it from the first ledger entry through to the signed report.”

Principles we live by

  • Deadlines are promises

A filing date is not a target. Registration windows, VAT returns, corporate-tax deadlines and audit timetables are fixed by the authority, so we work backwards from them and finish early.

  • Show the working

Every number we hand over traces to a document. When a reviewer, an auditor or the FTA asks how we got here, the answer is in the file — not in somebody's memory.

  • Say the hard number

Clients are told what the position actually is, including when it is a penalty, a restatement or a disclosure nobody wanted. Comfortable answers cost more later.

  • One point of contact

Nobody gets handed between departments. The person who knows the file answers the phone, and the disciplines coordinate behind them.

  • Precision before speed

We move fast on everything except the number. Work is reviewed before it leaves, because a fast filing that is wrong is a slow filing plus a penalty.

  • Learn the rulebook

UAE tax law is young and still moving. Reading the new decision, the clarification and the public consultation is part of the job, not overtime.

  • Confidentiality is absolute

We hold accounts, salaries, ownership structures and bank positions. What is in the file stays in the file — inside the firm as well as outside it.

Where you'd work

One floor in SAIF Zone, and the whole of the UAE on the other end of it.

Everyone sits together in Sharjah. The portfolio does not: client entities are licensed across the free zones and the mainland, so the work reaches every emirate without anybody relocating.

We hire for judgement, then teach the rulebook.

The people who do well here cannot leave a difference unexplained. They write things down. They would rather ask a partner a stupid question on Monday than defend a wrong number in an audit in November.

Qualifications matter — ACCA, CA, CPA and CMA, part-qualified or qualified — but they are the floor, not the case. Nobody here is boxed into one discipline either: the fastest way to become useful across a client's whole position is to work on more than one part of it.

How hiring runs

Four steps, and you hear back at every one.

  1. 01

    Application

Your CV and a short note to the address on the role. Every application is read by a person, and you get an answer either way within five working days.

  2. 02

    Conversation

Thirty minutes with whoever would review your work. What you have done, how you did it, and what you want to be doing in two years.

  3. 03

    A piece of real work

A short exercise taken from live work — a reconciliation that will not balance, a VAT treatment to call, a transfer-pricing position to argue. Around two hours, in your own time, and we talk it through afterwards.

  4. 04

    Meet the floor

A visit to the SAIF Zone office to meet the people you would sit with. An offer, or a clear no with the reason, inside a week.

What we offer

The things that actually decide whether a career here works.

  • Study support

Papers and exam fees covered for ACCA, CA, CPA and CMA, with study leave before each sitting.

  • Everything is reviewed

No file leaves without a senior review, and the review comes back in writing. That is how you get better here.

  • Rotation across disciplines

Time in a second discipline — tax, audit support, payroll or advisory — is planned into your year, not squeezed around it.

  • Visa and insurance

UAE employment visa and medical insurance arranged and held by the firm, coordinated with MHBC Corporate Services.

  • Filing season is recognised

Deadline weeks are heavy and we do not pretend otherwise. They are planned, staffed and compensated rather than absorbed.

  • Direct partner access

No layer between you and the person who signs the work. You will be in client meetings in your first month.

Emerging Talent

A two-year start for a recent accounting or finance graduate, rotating through bookkeeping, VAT and audit support so you finish knowing how a UAE compliance year actually runs.

What you’d do

  • Post and reconcile ledgers under a senior's review, and learn why each entry is supported the way it is
  • Prepare VAT return workings and gather the documents that stand behind them
  • Sit in on audit fieldwork and prepare the schedules the auditor asks for
  • Keep client folders in the state a reviewer can pick up cold

What you’d bring

  • A degree in accounting, finance or commerce, or a first ACCA/CA paper passed
  • Care with numbers you can demonstrate — a reconciliation you got to balance and can explain
  • Clear written English; most of this job is explaining a figure in a sentence
  • No UAE experience required
Apply for this role

A paid six-month placement for a student or recent graduate, on real client files with a named supervisor. Interns who do well are made an offer.

What you’d do

  • Support month-end close for a small portfolio of client entities
  • Chase, log and file the supporting documents a return or an audit needs
  • Build the schedules behind a VAT return or a corporate-tax computation
  • Take minutes and actions from client calls, and follow them up

What you’d bring

  • Currently studying, or within a year of graduating, in a finance discipline
  • Comfortable in Excel — lookups, pivots, and a habit of checking totals
  • Available for six continuous months
Apply for this role
Audit & Assurance

Run audit engagements end to end alongside the licensed auditors MHBC coordinates — planning, fieldwork, review of associates' work, and the file that survives inspection.

What you’d do

  • Plan engagements: scope, materiality, risk, and a timetable that finishes before the licence deadline
  • Lead fieldwork on site and remotely, and review the associates' working papers
  • Draft the financial statements and hold the disclosure checklist
  • Take the client conversation when the answer is a restatement or an adjustment

What you’d bring

  • Four or more years in external audit, part-qualified or qualified ACCA / CA / CPA
  • IFRS applied in practice, not just examined
  • Experience of UAE free zone and mainland audit requirements is an advantage, not a requirement
  • The instinct to document a judgement while you are making it
Apply for this role

Fieldwork and working papers on a mixed portfolio — trading, manufacturing and professional-services entities — with a senior reviewing everything you produce.

What you’d do

  • Test balances and transactions, and write the paper that shows what you tested and why
  • Prepare confirmations, reconciliations and lead schedules
  • Raise queries early rather than at the review

What you’d bring

  • One to three years in audit, actively sitting ACCA / CA papers
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and of an audit methodology
  • Willing to be on client sites across the Emirates
Apply for this role
Tax

Own corporate-tax registrations, computations and returns, and the positions behind them — small business relief, free zone qualifying income, group relief and loss carry-forward.

What you’d do

  • Prepare and review corporate-tax computations and returns, with the workings traceable to the accounts
  • Write the position papers behind elections and reliefs, and keep them current as clarifications land
  • Advise on registration, deregistration and tax-period alignment
  • Handle FTA correspondence and clarification requests

What you’d bring

  • Three or more years in tax, with UAE corporate-tax exposure since 2023 or strong direct-tax experience elsewhere
  • The UAE Corporate Tax Law read properly — decrees, cabinet decisions and the guides
  • Able to explain a filing position to a business owner in plain terms
Apply for this role

Recurring VAT returns for a portfolio, plus the classification calls that make them right — place of supply, zero-rating, exports, designated zones and reverse charge.

What you’d do

  • Prepare and file periodic VAT returns and hold the review checklist
  • Rule on supply classification and document the basis for each call
  • Run reconciliations between the returns, the ledgers and the customs records
  • Prepare voluntary disclosures and support refund claims and audits

What you’d bring

  • Two or more years running UAE VAT compliance
  • Fluent in the Executive Regulations and the FTA public clarifications
  • Comfortable telling a client their historic treatment was wrong
Apply for this role

Build the transfer-pricing documentation set — disclosure forms, local file, master file — and the benchmarking that supports it.

What you’d do

  • Map related-party transactions and test them against the arm's length principle
  • Run and document benchmarking studies, and defend the comparable set
  • Draft local and master files to OECD structure and UAE requirements
  • Flag where a group's intercompany pricing will not hold, early enough to change it

What you’d bring

  • Two or more years in transfer pricing, in practice or in-house
  • The OECD Guidelines and the UAE TP rules, applied
  • Database experience (TP Catalyst, Orbis or equivalent) is an advantage
Apply for this role
Accounting

Own the books for a portfolio of client entities: month-end close, management accounts, and the year-end file the auditor works from.

What you’d do

  • Run close for several entities to a fixed monthly calendar
  • Produce management accounts with a commentary the owner can act on
  • Prepare the audit file and answer the auditor's queries
  • Review a junior's postings and reconciliations

What you’d bring

  • Four or more years in accounting, part-qualified or qualified
  • Fluent in at least one of Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Tally or Odoo
  • IFRS for SMEs applied to real accounts
Apply for this role

Day-to-day bookkeeping across client entities — postings, reconciliations, payables and receivables — kept audit-ready as you go, not at year end.

What you’d do

  • Post sales, purchases, banking and journals accurately and on time
  • Reconcile banks, intercompany balances and control accounts monthly
  • Maintain the document trail behind every entry
  • Prepare the VAT workings for the specialist to review

What you’d bring

  • Two or more years of bookkeeping, ideally in the UAE
  • A cloud accounting package you know well
  • Organised enough that a reviewer never has to ask where something is
Apply for this role
Payroll

Run monthly payroll for client entities and the WPS files behind it, with gratuity, leave and end-of-service calculated to the Labour Law.

What you’d do

  • Process payroll to a fixed monthly cut-off and produce the SIF for WPS submission
  • Calculate gratuity, leave accrual and end-of-service settlements
  • Keep payroll data confidential and access-controlled
  • Reconcile payroll to the ledger and to the bank

What you’d bring

  • Two or more years of UAE payroll and WPS
  • UAE Labour Law on gratuity, leave and end-of-service
  • Absolute discretion — you will see every salary in the portfolio
Apply for this role
Advisory

Support outsourced-CFO mandates: budgets, cash-flow forecasts, KPI reporting and the board pack, for owner-managed businesses that have outgrown their bookkeeper.

What you’d do

  • Build and maintain rolling cash-flow forecasts and budget-versus-actual reporting
  • Turn management accounts into a short pack a board can decide from
  • Model the finance side of a decision — a hire, a facility, a new entity
  • Sit in on client management meetings and own the follow-up

What you’d bring

  • Three or more years in finance, at least one of them close to decision-makers
  • Financial modelling you can defend cell by cell
  • The confidence to present to an owner and be questioned
Apply for this role
Operations & People

Hold the compliance calendar for the whole portfolio: what is due, for whom, what is missing, and who has been told. The role the firm's single-point-of-contact promise rests on.

What you’d do

  • Maintain the deadline calendar across every client entity and discipline
  • Chase the documents a filing needs before the filing is at risk
  • Route work to the right discipline and keep the client's one contact informed
  • Report weekly on what is at risk and why

What you’d bring

  • Two or more years coordinating deadline-driven professional work
  • Systematic to a fault, and comfortable chasing people politely and repeatedly
  • An accounting background helps but is not required
Apply for this role

Run hiring and the office floor: sourcing and scheduling candidates, onboarding new joiners, visas and insurance, and keeping the SAIF Zone office working.

What you’d do

  • Source and screen candidates, and keep every applicant informed
  • Own onboarding, from the offer through the visa to the first-week plan
  • Coordinate visas, medical insurance and free-zone paperwork with MHBC Corporate Services
  • Keep the office supplied, maintained and pleasant to work in

What you’d bring

  • Two or more years in recruitment coordination, HR administration or office management
  • UAE visa and free-zone processes, or the appetite to learn them fast
  • The judgement to handle personal data properly
